Did you know that the estate held one of the only 18-hole golf courses entirely on a private residence in the United States? This golf course, which no longer exists, was designed by a notable golf architect of the day, William Flynn, and was one of the primary motivators advertising executive Albert Lasker had in building his estate.

The golf course was originally 7,100 yards, which was enormous by 1930’s standards, making par at 70 a great challenge. Lasker had a $500 standing bet that no one could break par – finally, one golfer did in 1934. Learn who it was at this fun and lively event.

Make reservations by visiting info@lflbhistory.org or by calling 847-234-5235.  Cost is $20 members, $30 for non-members.
