“Transcription, Abstraction and Extraction” at Zion Genealogical meeting

The Zion Genealogical Society will meet on Monday, Jan. 18, at the Beach Park Village Hall, 11270 West Wadsworth Rd., Beach Park, for the regular monthly meeting which begins at 7 p.m., doors open at 6:30 p.m.

The program “Transcription, Abstraction and Extraction” will be presented by Don Classey.  Mr. Classey is the society’s vice president and indexing director.  The program is slated to be interesting and educational.

All are welcome and there is no charge.  Refreshments will be served after the program, and a short business meeting will follow.

The Zion Genealogical Society offers assistance on Monday from 10 a.m. to Noon, Tuesday and Wednesday night at 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Zion Benton Library for anyone interested in pursuing individual family research.
