Armed Robbery at Waukegan Liquor Store Parking Lot

Waukegan Police seek information about an Armed Robbery at a 10th Street Liquor Store

Early this morning on Dec. 30 officers from the Waukegan Police Department’s Patrol Division were dispatched to a liquor store in the 1000 block of 10th Street for a report of an armed robbery.

Upon arrival at the store at 1:30 a.m., officers spoke to two victims, employees of the business that stated they were robbed at gunpoint.

As they were closing the store in the early morning hours, the employees exited the business and were robbed at gun point by two suspects in the parking lot. Police have not disclosed the amount of cash that was taken by the robbers.

A description of the robbers is as follows:

Suspect #1 is a black male in his 20’s, 5 feet 7 inches tall, medium build, wearing all black clothing with a blue bandana partially covering face, tattoo under right eye and dreadlocks hairstyle.  This suspect was armed with a handgun.

Suspect #2 is a black male in his 20’s, 5 feet 7 inches tall, medium build, wearing all black clothing with a red design on back right side of his jeans and red bandana hanging from his jean pocket.

The Waukegan Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Division is investigating the incident.
