Antioch Resident/Gang Member Arrested Dec. 20
The Lake County Sheriff’s Gang Task Force concluded a month-long investigation resulting in the arrest of Michael A. Grasso, 52, of the 26400 block of Shannon Avenue, unincorporated Antioch.
According to authorities, Grasso is a documented street gang member.
Armed with a search warrant, members of the gang task force went to Grasso’s home Tuesday. Once inside, authorities recovered more than 62 grams of heroin, in excess of 74 grams of cannabis, a loaded .45 caliber firearm, numerous items of drug paraphernalia, and more than $1,000 in cash.
After his arrest, Grasso was charged with unlawful possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver (Class X Felony), unlawful possession of a controlled substance (Class 1 Felony), unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon (Class 2 Felony), unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia (Class A Misdemeanor), and unlawful possession of cannabis (Class A Misdemeanor).
Grasso is being held at the Lake County Jail on $250,000 bond. His court date is Dec. 28 in Lake County.
Sheriff Mark Curran reminds everyone that defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
