LCSO Responds to Bomb Threat at Day Camp/Day Care Facility

The Lake County Sheriff’s Office is continuing an investigation of a bomb threat at the JCC Apachi Day Camp in unincorporated Lake Zurich.

An Apachi employee called 911 at about 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, Jan. 31, telling a dispatcher that the camp just received a bomb threat via the telephone. Deputies rushed to the camp which is also used for daycare, and searched the facility with the aid of canine teams including an explosive detection dog.  Nothing suspicious was found.

Students at the camp were transported to a different location after the threat.
