Grayslake North High School was placed on a “soft lockdown” early Monday morning after officials found a threatening note scrawled on a bathroom wall.
“School gonna blow up,” read the note, according to officials. The Grayslake Police Department was immediately called.
According to Grayslake Police Chief Phil Perlini, his office requested backup from the Lake County Sheriff’s Office explosive detection canine unit and Great Lakes Naval Police.
Nothing was found and the school was back in regular session.
Grayslake Police’s school resource officer continues to investigate the incident.
Grayslake North High School is located at 1925 N. Route 83 in the Village of Grayslake.
