Police Seek ‘Suicidal’ Grandson of Couple Claiming he Fraudulently Used Credit Cards

Also wanted in connection with Probation & Parole Violations

Pleasant Prairie Police report that a 20-year-old man is being sought in connection with making $4,600 worth of transactions to his grandparent’s credit card. The suspect is also wanted on probation and parole violations, according to police.

On Wednesday, Feb. 15 the grandparents of Edward Vincent Becs called police about 4:30 p.m. and reported that Becs had allegedly been involved in fraudulently using their credit card.

Officers were advised that Becs had made statements threatening suicide, rather than returning to prison.

While officers were en route to talk to the grandparents in the 11800 block of 28th Avenue, they were notified that Becs had fled the home on foot with a back pack and a gun case. Family members indicated that Becs may be armed.

Pleasant Prairie Police, with the assistance of Kenosha Joint Services, notified people living in the area that they would be conducting a search for Becs. Personnel from the Wisconsin State Patrol and the Kenosha County Sheriff’s Department assisted the Pleasant Prairie Police Department and K-9 team with the search which went into the evening.

Officers ended the search after they were advised that the suspect reportedly went north to the Village of Mt. Pleasant.
