Gurnee Police responded to a 911 call of a woman screaming for help Thursday night, March 16, in Parking Lot F of the Gurnee Mills around 7:30 p.m., which resulted in the arrest of two men on robbery charges.
Police rushed to the scene and found a male and female victims who reported being approached by two men demanding their property, while they were sitting inside their vehicle.
The suspects reportedly entered the victim’s Subaru SUV. Both described as Hispanic, the suspects then got into a scuffle with one of the victims who refused to give up his property.

Ultimately the woman’s purse and two iPhones were taken by the suspects, according to police.
By the time police arrived, the assailants had fled, but the victims were able give descriptions of them to police, as well as their vehicle – a white Chrysler Sebring, and a license plate number.
Gurnee Police alerted neighboring police departments. At approximately 10 p.m. Waukegan Police located the Sebring with the two suspects inside.
They were arrested, interviewed by Gurnee Police detectives, and identified by the victims in the Gurnee incident, before being transported to Gurnee Police Department headquarters where they currently are being held.
According to Cmdr. Brian Smith, spokesman for the Gurnee Police Department, the duo is set to go to bond court on Saturday morning March 18.
One suspect is identified as Orlando Arroyo, 21, of Waukegan. He was charged with vehicular invasion, aggravated battery, robbery and burglary.
The second suspect is identified as Ricky Patino, 21, also of Waukegan. He was charged with robbery, aggravated robbery, vehicular invasion, aggravated battery, and burglary.
Police said they recovered the victim’s handbag and its contents, however the two cell phones are still missing.
