Gurnee Police were called to Gurnee Mills shopping mall on Monday, March 27, after a dispute over a pair of shoes allegedly triggered a fight between several people.
When police arrived at the scene they attempted to take six subjects into custody, according to a news release. However Ahuar Ocampo, 20, of Wadsworth was the only one arrested. He was charged with robbery and aggravated battery. On Tuesday Ocampo was transported to the Lake County Jail for a bond hearing where he remains on a $100,000 bond.

After viewing mall security surveillance, police were able to identify the others involved in the mall fight. Arrest warrants have been issued for the following:
- Salomon Diaz, 19, of Aurora. He has been charged with mob action and aggravated battery, with a bond of $50,000.
- Jeffery Cedeno, 19, of Oswego is also charged with mob action and four counts of aggravated battery. His bond amount is $100,000.
- A juvenile will be referred to juvenile court for his involvement in the incident.
