Student Art Exhibited for 8th Annual Fine Arts Month in Libertyville

Pop-Up Gallery March 3, Reception at David Adler Center March 5

The David Adler Music and Art Center is pleased to announce the names of the businesses that will exhibit the work of young artists this March for National Youth Art Month and the Village of Libertyville’s 8th annual Fine Arts Month.

Village President Terry L. Weppler, proclaims March 2017 to be Youth Fine Arts Month in Libertyville in order to “promote awareness of Fine Arts in our village and celebrate the contributions of our residents engaged in music, theatre, dance, film, painting, drawing, sculpting, graphic and interior design…and all forms of fine artistry which enhance our human experience.”

A special pop-up gallery featuring live music and art work by Libertyville High School students will appear at 111 East Cook on Friday, March 3 from 5-8pm as part of Main Street Libertyville’s First Friday.

The David Adler Music and Arts Center will host a celebration and opening reception for student artists on Sunday, March 5 from 4-6 pm.  This event is free and open to the public.

Paintings and three-dimensional art created by area K-12 students will be on display at David Adler Music and Arts Center, and throughout the Village of Libertyville at 15 additional sites including:  ADIO Chiropractic Clinic, Bank Financial,  C & A Robot Factory,  Century 21, Cluckers Charcoal Chicken, Curtis Frame-Back Alley Gallery, Dover Saddlery, Eye Level Learning, The Eye Spot, Milwalky Trace/Milwalky Taco, Petranek’s Pharmacy, Pizzeria DeVille, Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory, SportsClips, and Sunset Foods.

Adler Park, Butterfield, Copeland Manor, and Rockland Elementary, Highland Middle School, Oak Grove School, and Libertyville High School are the among the participating schools.
