A 29-year-old Trevor, Wis., man who had ingested heroin, was rescued from near death on March 10 by Lake County Sheriff’s deputies.
Deputies found the man in a vehicle in an area of Hunt Club Road and Millburn Road in Newport Township at 6:40 p.m. He was unconscious and not breathing. Sgt. Robb Briggs quickly performed CPR on him while Deputy Tyler Girmscheid administered Naloxone. As the man failed to respond, Deputy Ashley Pomazal gave him additional doses of Naloxone.
After receiving six doses of Naloxone, the man began breathing on his own and regained consciousness. He was transported to Advocate Condell Medical Center in Libertyville and is expected to recover fully, according to deputies.
Meanwhile on March 29, sheriff’s gang task force arrested Londale R. Hall, 24, of the 800 block of South Martin Luther Jr. Avenue in Waukegan on charges alleging him as a drug dealer after under-cover detectives made several purchases of heroin they said from him.
He was charged with five counts of unlawful possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver and two counts of unlawful possession of a controlled substance.
The suspect is being held in Lake County Jail on a $100,000 bond with his next court hearing set for April 3.
