Low-cost pet vaccination clinics sponsored by the Lake County Health Department will take place at several locations to enable residents to keep their pets up to date with shots and receive rabies tags.
Location & Dates:
Saturday, April 15, 9 .m. to noon, Lake County Fairgrounds, 1060 E. Peterson Road, Grayslake
Saturday, April 29, 9 a.m. to noon, Vernon Hills Public Works, 490 Greenleaf Drive, Vernon Hills
The costs for pets spayed or neutered are: One-year rabies vaccination and Lake County tag, $20; one-year rabies vaccination and distemper shot and tag, $25.
For pets not spayed or neutered: one-year rabies vaccination and Lake County tag, $60; one-year rabies vaccination and distemper hot and tag, $65; distemper complex only $10; mircrochip, $15.
Pets will be taken on a first-come, first-served basis. All animals must be at least four months old. Dogs must be leashed and cats placed in carriers. Only cash will be accepted. Proof of spay or neuter may be required.
At each of these clinics, the 4-H dog spin club, K9 Crew will offer pet nail trims for a $5 donation which supports local non-profit groups in the county.
