Fugitive Apprehended Had Guns & Drugs: Lake County Sheriff

A 27-year-old Beach Park man was apprehended Wednesday, April  19, by the Lake County Sheriff’s Office on an outstanding warrant charging him with four counts of aggravated unlawful use of a weapon, three counts of possession of a firearm, delivery of cannabis and battery.

Authorities including Waukegan Police learned he was staying at a mobile home in Beach Park. Officers located him there with the help of sheriff’s K-9 dog Dax.

He is identified as Raymundo Acosta of the 38400 block of North Sheridan Road.  The U.S. Marshals Service’s Great Lakes Regional Fugitive Task Force participated in his arrest.

Authorities including Waukegan Police learned he was staying at a mobile home in Beach Park. Officers located him there with the help of sheriff’s K-9 dog Dax. He was found in possession of four loaded firearms, over 20 grams of cocaine and cannabis.

The suspect is being held in Lake County Jail on a $2-milion bond with his court hearing set for May 8.
