Grayslake area Man Arrested after Displaying “Gun” and Growing Marijuana

A 35-year-old man from unincorporated Grayslake has been charged with growing cannabis and aggravated assault.

The suspect was arrested at his residence where deputies found he was growing more than 20 marijuana plants in his basement.

Lake County Sheriff’s deputies, responding to a call about “a man with a gun” involved in a disturbance with his neighbors in the 33600 block of North Forest Drive Monday afternoon, arrested Devon LeRoy.  His victims told deputies that he threatened them with a realistic-looking BB gun.

The suspect was arrested at his residence where deputies found he was growing more than 20 marijuana plants in his basement.

Charged also with possession of cannabis with the intent to deliver, LeRoy was taken to Lake County Jail where he was released after he posted 10 percent of a $15,000 bond. He is due in court on April 25.
