A fugitive, described as a documented street gang member by Lake County Sheriff’s Office, was arrested Thursday in the 900 block of South Martin Luther King Jr. Avenue in Waukegan by sheriff’s deputies teamed with officers from the U.S. Marshals Great Lakes Regional Fugitive Task Force.
Malcolm D. Green, 23, a parolee from Illinois and Wisconsin, was wanted on a $200,000 arrest warrant from Gurnee Police on charges of burglary.
Green was found hiding in the kitchen of his residence, deputies said. Officers also found a .40 caliber handgun and marijuana in his belongings. As a result, he was additionally charged with unlawful possession of a weapon and ammunition by a felon, unlawful possession of a defaced weapon, and unlawful possession of cannabis with intent to deliver.
The suspect is being held in Lake County Jail with bond set at $500,000 for the additional charges. He is due in court on June 8.
